Happy Easter!

It's Easter! Saturday we had an Easter egg hunt outside. Friday night, Joy and I put candy in eggs and cut out bunny feet. We put the bunny feet from the boys room to the back door. We left a note that said "be back tomorrow - the Easter bunny."

The boys loved it. Joy planted the eggs outside. The boys got lost of them and then just stopped and at candy in their club house and on their picnic table. They ate so much candy.

Today, we did an Easter egg hunt inside but they seemed less interested. Instead they found their bubbles in their Easter baskets and were occupied for the rest of the morning aside from eating, throwing eggs, and chasing each other with suckers.

Joys mom and brother came over for Easter lunch. Joy went all out making turkey, potatoes, pies, Mac n cheese, etc!! It was amazing!!!

The boys enjoyed playing with Uncle John. Throwing stuff and wrestling with him.

Great Easter!!

Play set

Last week, the builders came to build the boys' place set. It took about a day for them to built it in 20-30 degree weather. We felt bad. We gave them a nice tip and offered coffee. The boys watched out the window near completion. They were so excited!

Luckily, they were able to play on it shortly after the builders left. It was cold and very muddy but they were so happy!!

Joy and I bought some wood chips but I think we're going to try to put grass in.

They got to play out Saturday and Monday. I had taken a 4 day weekend.

They have a glider which they can use well. The playset has a rock wall, slide, club house, monkey bars, swings, and a picnic table. The monkey bars are so high that I could use them. Luckily they haven't yet. So far, they mostly love going through the house to go down the slide.

Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Last Sunday, we visited my parents for a get together. The boys had a blast playing with Grandpa and their cousin Jimmy. I had to laugh because when Grandpa would walk away, Jacob or Jasper would get him and tell to "come here."

The big difference for this visit is that Joy and I didn't have to chase after them. They are old enough for some independence.

After telling everyone they don't nap, they napped on the ride home.

Digging

Not this past weekend, but the weekend before we had nice weather! So, we hit up the zoo and came home to do some good old fashion digging!

The zoo was fun! We brought he wagon. The boys loved the elephants. Jacob was smiling while they were drinking water.
When we came home, we leveled a part of our backyard for the boys birthday present... A playset!!

They are going to be so stoked. It arrives this Friday. Swings, club house, monkey bars, and a rock wall.

The boys got a huge kick out of helping dig. I can tell that they are going be into gardening with us this year.

After digging, we saw a train by our house.

Easter Cards

Last week, Joy had the boys make Easter cards. They also painted and we're very proud to have their pictures hung up.

Wreck it Ralph

Today we saw Wreck It Ralph at the dollar theater. We got a huge tub of pop corn and I snuck in M&ms. The boys for the most part were good. A little antsy at times and sometimes talked to the screen. But all in all not bad. We killed the pop corn.

The movie was kinda boring but the boys seemed to like it. We ended up leaving before the end. The cool thing about the dollar theater is it is cheap!!
