Fireworks!

Yesterday we went to see Shrek and fireworks on at the Akron rubber ducks field. We had an all you can eat buffet. Jacob had claimed he was going to eat ten hotdogs. I couldn't believe he got through two. I had a veggie burger, thanks to Joy! She emailed them previously and had them make me three. I ate two.

They had a big slide they went down three times. They had balloon animals. The boys wanted swords. The made these really cool balloon animals but said to the boys "you waited twenty minutes for swords!?" He made them two each.

Ollie did really good, slept some.

It was a fun event, the whole family came.

Ollie's first food!

Oliver had his first solid food yesterday. While I was eating a smoothy, he grabbed my finger and opened his mouth for the straw. Joy suggested we let him eat a mashed banana. Ollie and I walked to the acme and got bananas and baby food-banana.

He ended up eating the whole container!

Ollie's first fireworks!

We took Ollie to his first fireworks displays. It's been a tradition of going to graveyard in Fairlawn for their fireworks.

Ollie did really good. Didn't get scared. Joy got earmuffs for him but he didn't need them. Jasper ended up using them. He has more sensitive ears.

Summer vacation!!

Had an epic full weekend. A great way to start summer vacation!!

Friday- we went to see an Aerosmith cover band play. However it was way too loud and the boys found that they have a an area where water shoots up from the ground. They played in this whole time. We didn't bring any swim suits or anything, so they were just in their shorts. Joy feed Oliver.

Saturday- the boys had their t-ball game. After their game, we went to the zoo. Ollie was upgraded from being in his carrier in the stroller to just being in the stroller. The boys did the big slide in the Australian area. Then the carousel. There was a new play area with water activities. At night we had a bonfire at home.

Sunday- we went for a bike ride. Saw a train. When we got home we watched Jaws 3 (jaws at sea world!!). Then went to the case playground. I took Ollie in the stroller.

Jasper & Jacob: 5 years old!!

Today the boys have turned
5 years old!!! It is so hard to believe how fast time flies. Slow it down!!!!!

Joy stocked the boys up with monster trucks and bubbles to take to school. Joy had also made them shirts to celebrate. Jasper's had a motorcycle, number 5, and his name. Jacob's had the millennium falcon, 5, and his name. When we picked them up they were crowns and handing out trucks and bubbles to the others kids. They were gives hugs to everyone.

We went to toys r us and let them pick out a toy. After browsing the store they decided on zombie hunting nerf shot guns. Later on we had a battle in the backyard and shot cans.

We had lunch at McDonald's playplace. The boys played Star Wars with another kid. They got happy meals and one of the workers bought them ice cream.

We came home and opened presents. Later on we watched Temple of Doom which was a little scary. Better after we skipped a chapter. Ordered pizza and had cheese cake.

Right now Joy is playing outside with them with their new sand toy and gun. I'm feeding Oliver who got to spend most of the day sleeping with grandma.

Oliver's second month check up

On May 15th, Oliver had his two month doctor visit and it was a big vaccine one. Joy said he was not too pleased with the rotavirus liquid then screamed with the shots. She said they whole office heard him. He went to sleep on the way home and stayed out most of the day. Then woke up screaming!! Joy held him and walked up and the hall. By the time I got home, they were both in bed. Joy was giving him a bottle. He was calm. After his bottle was done, he was upset. I sang him songs, which is cheered him up. He got a few smiles out. He liked Secret Agent Man the best.

Oliver!

Oliver is really starting to be a less of a newborn and more of a 2/3 month old. He is big! He is starting to respond to people. He loves watching Jasper and Jacob who love getting in his face. He also loves looking around, especially pictures on the wall. The other day, he almost bounced out backwards on my arms while I was holding him because he was interested in something in the kitchen. He is also responding to tickles and smiled really big when you put your hair in face.

Jasper and Jacob have been all about Indiana Jones. Friday we had movie night with pizza, chocolate pie (Jacob's request) and popcorn. It was a lot of fun.

Oliver check up and outside!!

On April 21, Oliver had his one month check up and vaccine. I was expecting a crying sleepless night. Joy took him. She said he cried but had fall asleep afterwards. He slept all day then started to wake up when I got home. I was ready for it... Crying. Trying to stay calm while holding him. You know what happened!? He was tired. He was a true cramp. I even let Jacob hold him for a little bit. He even slept that night. Crazy!

A few days before, it's finally getting nice enough to go outside!!! On Saturday we went for a hike. Jasper wanted to go to the waterfall. We hiked for a good while. The volunteers were working on the paths. The boys had lots of questions for them.

We also went on a bike ride with our new tandem bike attachments. Jasper rode behind me and Jake behind Joy. They later on switched. It was awesome!!!!

Sunday we did another bike at beaver marsh.

Brothers!

Oliver has been here for almost a month. It's really hard to believe how fast everything is going. Oliver has been growing a lot, drinking a lot of milk. Normally if it isn't sleeping or being changed he is wanting a bottle. Just the other day, I noticed he responded a little bit to a tickle.

He has been such a good sleeper. With Jasper and Jacob we barely got any sleep. With Oliver we are sleeping about 5-6 hours a night. We have been tracking our sleep with out Up bands.

Jasper and Jacob have been so sweet him. They look him with such grins you can tell they truly love him. When he is awake they are constantly asking "can I see his eyes." They are not impatient either. They totally understand that baby eat, sleep, and get changed. They are such good brothers to him.

Welcome Oliver!!

On Monday morning, March 9th I was getting ready for work when I heard a quiet knock on the bathroom door. I opened it up, it was Joy. She said she thinks her water might have broke but just little. A little later, she is sitting on the couch reading from a pregnancy book and said its normal for a little water to come. She said to go to work and that she'll call me if she needs to go to the hospital. I headed out.

I was on Ghent when my phone rang. Joy called her doctors and she advised to go to the hospital. I turned around at a Park n Ride. I tried to pick up Joy's mom in a hurry. Finally 40 minutes later from initially leaving, I made it home. The boys were still sleeping, they had the day off. Joy's mom stayed with them. I quickly salted the walkway and took Joy to the hospital.

Her water did indeed break, a test confirmed.

They sent her to delivery room and hooked her up to monitoring machines. They gave her something to move the contractions along. They got more intense. She held my hand tightly as they came. I watched on the monitor. A doctor came in later and determined that a c-section would be needed. They moved her to the same room she the boys.

I waited in the recover room while Joy got a spinal. When I got in there with Joy she was closely monitored and looked much better than when she had the Jasper and Jacob. She said she could fill herself breath, which was pretty scary last time.

At 4:53pm Oliver was born. I walked over to him and took picture while the doctors did tests. I took the pictures over to Joy so she could see him. He was crying but calmed down the moment I picked him up. I brought him over to Joy so she could see him. A nurse took our picture.

We sat in recovery for a while. Oliver breast feed then I walked around with him. Joy's mom popped in. My parents watched the boys.

At night time, I went home to put the boys to bed which was after 10pm. Thankfully, Joy's mom stayed with her and Oliver. I showed them pictures they were so excited. Way to hyper to go to bed. They fell asleep in our bed. I barely slept.

The next day I took the boys to school and stayed with them to entire time. Then we went to visit Joy and Oliver. The boys were so sweet to him. Big grins.

On Wednesday Joy and Oliver got to come home.

Weekend

Yesterday we stopped for pizza at after our Sam's club trip.

We had a pretty chill weekend. Boys both have coughs. Almost didn't go to swim classes because of Jasper's cough. Luckily it mostly cleared up before class started. I told him if he doesn't feel good he can sit with me and play games on my phone.

After swim classes, we had a little break and lunch. We played games. Jacob wanted to play mommy'a game, which is a neat game she came up with. She put the letters of their name on flash cards. The boys then run to another room to get each letter. Say the letter, then run back to the living room to say the letter again and write it on the chalk board.

Sunday was modulus chill. Played smash brothers. Did a shopping trip. Ordered pizza for dinner.

Akron first night

On New Year's Eve, we want Akron's first night. We started the night off with a drum circle and crafts. The night ended with fireworks and horse carriage ride. It was really cold outside but boys were happy to do the horse ride.
